Lifeline Activities
In September 2004, UNITE conducted two regional “The Anchor Holds” conferences to kick-off its faith-based initiative. There have been 15 “Living Free” workshops in conjunction with Turning Point ministries designed to help church leaders mobilize individuals to help others with life controlling problems by implementing Lifeline programs. More than 385 people have attended these trainings. In addition, benefit golf scrambles and a motorcycle ride & rally have been held.
  • February 13, 2007 -- Living Free Lifeline Training in West Liberty (Morgan County), attended by 12 people.

  • September 23, 2006 -- Living Free Lifeline training in Harlan (Harlan County).

  • August 31 & September 7, 2006 -- Living Free Lifeline training in Pineville (Bell County).

  • August 12, 2006 -- Living Free Lifeline training in Manchester (Clay County)

  • June 17, 2006 – Living Free Lifeline training in Louisa (Lawrence County), attended by approximately 21 people. To view pictures click here.

  • June 2, 2006 – Second Lifeline Golf Scramble at the Crooked Creek Golf Course in Laurel County. There were 16 teams and 20 sponsors, netting approximately $8,000.

  • April 29, 2006 – Living Free Lifeline training in Morehead (Rowan County), attended by approximately 14 people.

  • March 25, 2006 – Regional Living Free training in Beattyville (Lee County), attended by approximately 24 people.

  • February 25, 2006 – Regional Living Free Lifeline training in Owingsville (Bath County), attended by approximately 28 people.

  • January 28, 2006 – Living Free Lifeline training for faith-based community in Somerset (Pulaski County), attended by approximately 10 people.

  • November 12, 2005 – Living Free Lifeline training in Jackson (Breathitt County), attended by approximately 14 people.

  • July 29, 2005 – Lifeline Golf Scramble at the Crooked Creek Golf Course in Laurel County. There were 15 teams and 18 sponsors for the event, which drew participation from more than 100 people and raised $5,500. To view pictures from the event click here.

  • July 9, 2005 – Living Free Lifeline training in Belfry (Pike County), attended by approximately 16 people.

  • May 14, 2005 – Benefit motorcycle ride and rally for Lifeline of East Kentucky at Manchester City Park.

  • April 22-23, 2005 – Regional Living Free Lifeline Conference in Inez (Martin County), attended by approximately 10 people.

  • April 8-9, 2005 – Regional Living Free Lifeline Conference at the Rural Law Enforcement Technology Center in Hazard (Perry County), attended by approximately 44 people.

  • March 18-19, 2005 – Regional Living Free Conference at Cumberland Falls State Resort Park (Whitley County), attended by approximately 80 people. To view story click here. To view pictures click here.
