$500,000 pledged to UNITE treatment programs
HAZARD (1-25-2010) –Kentucky River Properties, LLC, has pledged $500,000 to the Operation UNITE Foundation over the next five years to provide substance abuse treatment.
UNITE Service Corps helping 16 schools

Prescription drug use increases in nearly all KY counties, report finds
FRANKFORT, KY (9-30-09) – The rate of prescriptions dispensed for controlled substances increased in 118 of Kentucky’s 120 counties between 2005 and 2007, according to a recent report of the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet, and five Kentucky counties – Clinton, Magoffin, Whitley, Bell and Owsley – averaged more than four controlled substance prescriptions dispensed per resident.

Former UK and pro football standouts help ‘tackle drugs’ with skills camps in Rockcastle, Pike counties
MT VERNON (6-1-09) – Operation UNITE has teamed up with former University of Kentucky standouts Tim Couch and Craig Yeast to offer two regional “Tackling Drugs” football skills camps for students in grades 7-12.
Mt. Vernon Elementary UNITE Club again named ‘2008 Club of the Year’
Mt. VERNON (5-28-09) – For the second year in a row, Mt. Vernon Elementary School’s UNITE Club has been honored as Operation UNITE’s top elementary school anti-drug club.
Whitesburg Middle UNITE Club named ‘2008 Club of the Year’
WHITESBURG (5-29-09) – Whitesburg Middle School’s UNITE Club was honored as Operation UNITE’s top middle school anti-drug club for the 2007-08 school year.
Pulaski High UNITE Club named ‘2008 Club of the Year’
SOMERSET (5-22-09) – Pulaski County High School’s UNITE Club was honored as Operation UNITE’s top high school anti-drug club for the 2007-08 school year.
