SOMERSET (09-07-2007) -- Pulaski County officials have proclaimed September as “National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month.” This year’s theme is “Join the Voices of Recovery: Saving Lives, Saving Dollars.”

OWINGSVILLE (3-28-2007) -- Nearly 500 players, coaches, parents and other family members attended Bath County’s UPWARD basketball awards banquet held Thursday, March 23, at the high school in Owingsville.

PAINTSVILLE (02-16-2007) – A free community forum to discuss issues regarding drugs in Johnson County will be held Thursday, March 1.

LOUISA (10-11-2006) – Operation UNITE coalitions in Floyd, Johnson and Pike counties will each receive more than $1,500 for anti-drug youth fishing programs thanks to a bass fishing tournament held at Yatesville Lake State Park.

McKEE (6-6-2006) – The recently formed Court Watch Committee of the Perfect Vision UNITE Coalition is now attending all drug-related court sessions in Jackson County, and additional volunteers are needed to assist with various activities.

WILLIAMSBURG (05-30-2006) – Operation UNITE will present a free “Shoot Hoops Not Drugs” basketball camp for youth in Whitley and surrounding counties on Thursday, June 15.

CAWOOD (05-30-2006) – Operation UNITE will present a free “Shoot Hoops Not Drugs” basketball camp for youth in Harlan and surrounding counties on Tuesday, June 13.

BEATTYVILLE (05-30-2006) – Operation UNITE will present a free “Shoot Hoops Not Drugs” basketball camp for youth in Lee and surrounding counties on Saturday, June 10.

The Laurel County UNITE Coalition regular monthly meeting date and location has been changed. Coalition members will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, at the Laurel County Public Library.
