Court Watch
A regional Court Watch training will be conducted from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2008, at the Lifeline Center in Manchester (Clay County). There will be a $10 cost for the training manual. For more information call 606-598-8871 or contact John Becknell at 606-813-1661.
Lifeline
A regional Lifeline training will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2008, at the Lifeline Center in Manchester. There will be a $20 cost which includes lunch and training materials. For more information call 606-598-8871 or Joe Farmer at 606-813-8020.
KASPER On-Line
Learn more about the KASPER (Kentucky All-Schedule Prescription Electronic Reporting) system through a free continuing education webcast by the University of Kentucky released on February 4, 2008. Congressman Hal Rogers provides an introduction to the program. Faculty includes Brian Fingerson, RPh, executive director of the Kentucky Professionals Recovery Network and adjunct assistant professor with the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy, and Dave Sallengs, RPh, branch manager, Drug Enforcement & Professional Practices, Office of Inspector General, Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Addiction and the Family
Addiction and the Family: An Online Course for Faith Leaders is a new online course from the national Association for Children of Alcoholics. The course offers three (3) contact hours of education and was developed to enhance faith leaders' understanding of addiction and its impact on family members. In addition, it provides strategies that faith leaders can use to help individuals and families start on the road to recovery. The course provides accessible and affordable education for clergy and pastoral leaders so that they can support the one in four children living in their communities who are confused and hurt by parental

printed out upon completion of the course. NACoA is an Approved Education Provider through NAADAC, The Association for Addiction
Professionals.
Hooked On Fishing-Not On Drugs
Coalitions wanting to implement Hooked On Fishing-Not On Drugs (HOFNOD) programs in their community can schedule Marc Johnson with the Kentucky Division of Fish and Wildlife Resources for a volunteer training session. Contact your coalition coordinator if you would would be interested in hosting a training for 10 or more people.
