Monday, December 31 - New Year's Eve celebration featuring a Guitar Hero III tournament and Metalfest concert at the Old Weddington Theater on Second Street in Pikeville.
Saturday, December 22 - "Santa's Wish: Be Drug Free" event was held in the Pikeville City Park. Approximately 260 people attended.

Saturday, October 27 - A "Scaring Away Drugs" activity was held featuring speakers and live entertainment.
Friday, October 26 - Prestonsburg High School hosted Shelby Valley High School in the Floyd County UNITE Bowl football game, at the Prestonsburg High football field. This anti-drug event included informaton about the drug problems in the county and what people can do to help. Special announcements were broadcast throughout the game, and a special trophy presentation was held following the contest.
Thursday, October 25 - An investigation by Operation UNITE into the illegal sales of prescription drugs in Pike County resulted in arrest warrants being issued for 22 suspected dealers. Law enforcement officers conducted a roundup of these dealers, plus an additional five people wanted by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office. To read story click here.
Saturday, October 23 - An open house reception for the WestCare Kentucky Hal Rogers Appalachian Recovery Center's second anniversary was held at the facility in Ashcamp.
Saturday, October 20 - A program on drug prevention and the role of the church volunteer was conducted for the Pike County Christian Women's Annual Tea at Grace Fellowship Church.
Wednesday, October 17 - Information was given to more than 1,000 parents as part of Red Ribbon Week activities.

Thursday, September 27 - A pastoral recruitment dinner was held. The coalition's mission was shared with approximately 30 people.
Saturday, September 22 - The Pike County Juvenile Drug Court held a graduation for three participants in the Pike County Judicial Center.
Saturday, September 15 - A "Walk For Recovery" was held from the Riverfill parking lot across from Pikeville Medical Center and culminated with a "Jesus is the Anti-Drug" concert (see below). Thursday, July 19 - UNITE Shoot Hoops Not Drugs basketball camp featuring former UK basketball star Jeff Sheppard was held at the East Ridge High School gym in Elkhorn City. Every child received a free basketball and T-shirt. For more details click here.

Monday, July 9 - Operation UNITE held a community meeting for citizens concerned about the drug problem at Faith First Baptist Church on Jimmie's Creek at Regina. Officials were on hand to discuss the law enforcement, education and treatment components of UNITE and to listen to citizen concerns.

Monday, June 25 -- A community meeting for the citizens of Pike County was held at Mountain View Church of Christ at Lick Creek. Officials from UNITE were present to discuss law enforcement, treatment and education initiatives and to listen to citizen concerns.

Sunday, June 3 - A ceremony to dedicate the former Perry A. Cline School as a Kentucky Historic Landmark was held. The building, located on the Old Bypass Road in Pikeville, is now being used as the WestCare Kentucky Homeless Shelter and Community Involvement Center. Free food, live gospel music and more.

Monday, March 26 - A free informational Drug Education Forum was conducted at Pikeville College and attended by approximately 250-300 students. Sponsored by the Pikeville College Campus Coalition, this forum featured former University of Kentucky basketball star Jeff Sheppard and Dr. John Scanlon, assistant professor of family medicine and addiction medicine.

Saturday featured the group Seventh Day Slumber at the Eastern Kentucky Expo Center. Friday, April 28 - An anti-drug rally was held at the YMCA at the request of Belfry and Virgie middle schools. The event was attended by 71 students, garnered media attention and promoted awareness that substance abuse is a serious problem that will not be a part of their future lives.
Wednesday, April 26 - UNITE Pike Executive Committee met with a professional consultant for strategic planning to discuss the direction for the future efforts of the coalition.
April 20-22 – Informational booth at Hillbilly Days festival with WestCare Kentucky residential treatment facility. Gift basket give-away for those receiving information about UNITE Pike and WestCare Kentucky.
Thursday, April 6 – “Pike County Stump.” An opportunity for the public to hear from all candidates running in the May 2006 primary elections in Pike County. Members of the Pike County Youth Leadership Council served as forum facilitators.
