During December four participants did a total of 200 hours of community service for the Owsley County Fiscal Court and three participants totaled 100 hours of community service for the Lee County Fiscal Court. Participants have started ain "Inspiration Book" that will be distributed throughout the counties to bring positive recognition to the program.
Coalition members hope to increase the number of youth and volunteers participating in the Hooked On Fishing-Not On Drugs® events.
The coalition continues to work closely with the faith community to assist Drug Court participants and recovering addicts with transportation to and from Reformers Unanimous meetings (see below).
Owsley County is participating in a youth soccer program in conjunction with the U.S. Soccer Foundation and UNITE in Wolfe, Lee and Breathitt counties.
