UNITE Activities
Recruitment is a big focus, especially with Neighbors UNITED. There are already several strong Neighbors UNITED groups throughout the county. A recruitment cookout and an old-fashioned rally are scheduled.
Three Martin County schools had a registered UNITE Club during the 2006-07 school year – Inez Elementary, Inez Middle and Sheldon Clark High.

2007 Activities
December - Approximately 60 people attended a coalition recruitment dinner.
Monday-Monday, October 22-29 - Children in six Martin County schools were affected by events held in celebration of Red Ribbon Week.
Friday, August 31 - Martin County UNITE Coalition sponsored a UNITE Bowl football game between Fairland, Ohio, and Sheldon Clark High Schools. The Sheldon Clark UNITE Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletees coordinated the event, which could become an annual bowl game. Drug information was distributed and anti-drug PSAs read. Each team was given T-shirts and treated to a pizza party after the game. Sheldon Clark won 35-23.
Monday, July 30 - A free Back-to-School Bash Drugs event was held behind Sheldon Clark High School. Children had an opportunity to slide and play on inflatables while parents picked up information from participating agencies. Free hotdogs and water were provided by SouthEast Telephone.

Monday-Friday, July 16-20 - Members of the Lovely Freewill Baptist Church Christian Training School took a group of young men to the Monongahalia National Forest in Randolph County, West Virginia, for a camping and Hooked On Fishing, Not On Drugs trip. HOFNOD is one of three mentoring programs operated by the Martin County Coalition.
July - Approximately 1,500 people were affected by the back-to-school bash. Many agencies worked together on this project to ensure its success and that the community received drug-free material and school supplies.
Friday, March 30 - An overview of Operation UNITE and the importance of UNITE Clubs was presented during the Sheldon Clark High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes lock-in. Approximately 250 youth attended.

Tuesday, March 13 - A representative from Operation UNITE and members of the Martin County UNITE Coalition attended the Martin County School Board meeting to discuss drug testing policies.
Monday, March 12 - An overview of UNITE was presented to the woman's auxiliary at the Lovely Freewill Baptist Church.
Monday, February 12 - A community drug awareness program was conducted at the Roy F. Collier Community Center.
