The coalition is working to support Point of Hope treatment and after-care programs by providing resource materials and assisting with transportation for participants five days per week. Tuesday, August 4 - Approximately 75 people attended "National Night Out," a drug-free night of activities and realizing life can be beautiful without drugs. For details contact Donna Randall at 606-686-2824.
Saturday, June 22 - A free youth block party and concert was held at the Louisa Mini Park across from the new public library. Approximately 135 people participated. The Lawrence County UNITE Coalition wanted children of all ages to enjoy a drug-free event of music, games, food, prizes and fun to kick-off the summer. Saturday, May 2 - The Lawrence County UNITE Coalition sponsored a free skating party for children of all ages at the Southside Skating Rink in Louisa. Refreshments and music were provided. For details contact Donna Randall at 606-686-2824.
Thursday, April 23 - A free community forum and recruit dinner was held by the Lawrence County UNITE Coalition at the Louisa Community Center (located across from Lawrence County High School).
