2007 Activities
Friday, October 19 - Former University of Kentucky basketball star Jeff Sheppard gave anti-drug presentatiosn to students at Big Creek Elementary and Oneida Elementary schools.
Tuesday, October 15 - A Kentucky Prayer Focus meeting for citizens from across the state was held at the Community Church in Manchester. For information contact Doug Abner at 606-598-8871 or communitychurch@alltel.net.
Friday, September 21 - A presentation by former University of Kentucky basketball star Jeff Sheppard planned for today at Big Creek and Oneida Elementary schools in Clay County will be rescheduled.
Friday, June 1 - The Clay-Leslie-Jackson Drug Court participated in the Relay for Life.
Tuesday, May 29 - More than a dozen participants in the Clay-Leslie-Jackson Drug Court program graduated in a ceremony held in the Clay County Justice Center (3rd floor). Lt. Governor Steve Pence was the featured speaker.
Tuesday, May 15 - A community meeting for Horse Creek residents was held at the Horse Creek Baptist Church on KY 80. The meeting is a follow-up to the April 11 Hot Spot Enforcement Effort. UNITE officials discussed how residents can engage their friends and neighbors to make their community a safe and secure place in which to raise a family.
Friday, May 4 - Clay-Leslie-Jackson Drug Court played a basketball game against the Clay-Jackson-Leslie sheriff departments at the Clay County Middle School. The game raised $1,700 which went to benefit the St. Jude Children's Research.
Saturday, March 24 - "The Call to Rise UP!", an amazing evening for youth, was held at Clay County High School. Guest speaker was Donald Sims with musical performance by the band Live Fish.
2006 Activities
Friday, December 15 - Clay County Drug Court participants took gifts and food to Laurel Creek Nursing Home. They partnered with Manchester Elementary School and Monumental Life Insurance to raise $400 to help with the celebration.
Saturday, November 18 - A special praise and worship service was held at Community Church.
Monday, November 13 - Graduation ceremonies for the Clay-Jackson-Leslie Adult Circuit Drug Court programat the Clay County Courthouse. Guest speaker was Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson. There were 2 graduates from Jackson, 2 from Leslie and 10 from Clay.
Friday, October 27 - Drug-free week program for K-6 students at Burning Springs Elementary.

Saturday, October 14 - A special joint service with groups from Alabama, Texas, West Virginia and Tennessee was held at the Community Church. This event was filmed by the 700 Club as part of their Manchester Revisited special.
Thursday, September 21 - Christian concert featuring Seventh Day Slumber, Last Tuesday and Brotha Tone at the First Baptist Church of London. For details click here.
Saturday, August 12 - Court Watch training was conducted at the Community Church of Manchester.

Saturday, June 10 -- Groundbreaking ceremonies were held for the Chad's Hope drug treatment center in Burning Springs with Congressman Hal Rogers.
Friday, June 2 – Lifeline of Eastern Kentucky second annual golf scramble at Crooked Creek Golf Club. A total of 18 teams and 20 sponsors netted approximately $8,000. For details click here.
Saturday, May 13 – Clay County Sheriff’s Office basketball game versus the Clay/Jackson/Leslie Drug Court at Clay County Middle School. Proceeds benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Alice Harmon, dressed up as a dalmation s the team mascot. Children of Drug Court participants served as cheerleaders. An autographed basketball, signed by Gov. Ernie Fletcher and Chief Justice Joseph Lambert sold for $150 at auction. The game was won by the Drug Court team and raised several thousand dollars.
Monday, April 18 – UNITE coalition networking reception at the Manchester Baptist Church for the Cumberland Valley coalitions. One of five regional receptions.
Monday, April 10 – Drug Court graduation ceremony for Clay and Jackson counties. at the Manchester Baptist Church.
Thursday-Friday, March 29-30 – The New Zealand Christian band, The Ladds, performs for a coalition rally each evening.
