Recent Activities
Tuesday, November 21 - A Thanksgiving dinner was provided to students at Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College at the Middlesboro Campus grill. Members of the Chenoa Prison Camp's Step-Up Program were guest speakers and discussed how situations involving drugs and alcohol led to their incarceration.
Wednesday-Saturday, October 25-28 - Anti-drug themed haunted house was held on the unoccupied third floor of the Bell County Jail.
Monday-Saturday, October 23-27 - Service learning students at the Middlesburg campus visited numerous elementary schools in Bell and surrounding counties to speak with children about staying away from drugs as part of Red Ribbon Week activities.
Tuesday, October 17 - Joint membership drive by the Middlesboro and Pineville campuses of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College. Guest speakers were Elizabeth Wilson from UNITE and recovering addict Ashley Jones. Nearly 100 seniors from two Bell County high schools attended.
Monday-Wednesday, September 18-20 -- Steve Austin school assemblies about drug-related problems and Right Choices. A Christian follow-up assembly held each evening.
Thursday, August 31, and Thursday, September 7 - Living Free Lifeline training for the faith-based community, Lighthouse Mission Center in Pineville.
Saturday, August 26 -- Movie night.
Saturday, August 26 -- Crossfire-Tri-state Basketball Tournament at the Bell County High School Gym.
Monday, August 21 - Jeff Sheppard anti-drug rally at Bell County Day Treatment School.
Saturday, August 5 -- HOFNOD event at Waisoto Winds Golf Course.
Saturday, July 29 - Recruiting support from the faith-based community presentation at the pastor's breakfast at the Ryan's in Middlesboro.
Saturday, July 29 -- Movie night in Newtown. "The Chronicles of Naria: The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe" will be shown.

Saturday, May 27 -- Movie night in downtown Pineville. "The Chronicles of Naria: The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe" was shown.
Thursday-Saturday, May 25-27 - Part of the Mountain Laurel Festival tradition includes window decorations of the downtown Pineville businesses. UNITE Bell County took advantage of this opportunity to educate the public with posters completed by Middlesboro Middle School's UNITE Club. In addition, several adult coalition members decorated another storefront emphasizing a positive "Reigning Legacy." To view several of the displays click here.

Monday, April 18 -- UNITE coalition networking reception at the Manchester Baptist Church in Clay County for the Cumberland Valley coalitions. One of five regional receptions.
Wednesday, April 12 -- SKCTC Pineville students held a methamphetamine workshop at Pine Mountain State Park. Students from the nursing, respiratory, surgical tech and cosmotology programs were taught the dangers of meth and the proper methods of treating patients in the hospital who have been exposed to meth. Wednesday, March 29 -- Two SKCTC respiratory therapy students from the Pineville Campus who work in local hospitals presented a free program on different types of drugs and how they affect the body. They showcased studies of different individuals who have taken drugs and the results that occur. Approximately 125 people were affected by the project.
Tuesday-Thursday, March 21-23 -- SKCTC-Pineville Campus respiratory students presented an elementary drug awareness and prevention program to sixth-grade students at Bell Central Elementary, Middlesboro Middle and Page Elementary schools. Students responded in an overwhelming manner with many questions of student presenters and faculty. Project reached approximately 350 students.
