UNITE Activities
During the last half of 2008 more than 40 meetings were held at the Teen Support Center, with an average of 80 in attendance. Anti-drug, teen pregnancy and other poor behavior and choices were discussed. Wholesome, lesson-teaching movies were shown. The facility was also used for a clothing give-away that helped 116 families.
Bath County has a huge focus on the youth, holding special activities on a regular basis.
Bath County has one school with a registered UNITE Club for the 2009-10 school year - Owingsville Elementary.
Two Celebrate Recovery support groups meet on a regular basis at the Bath County Courthouse Annex: Small group meetings held Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and large group meetings held Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. The program has helped 16 people through the end of 2008.
Tuesday, March 10 - Approximately 200 adults and children were involved in a community awareness program about services that are available in the field of health, fitness and social services during the Bath County Community Health Fair.
Saturday, March 7 - Approximately 400 people (including 150 children) attended the annual Upward Basketball graduation ceremony. There were 22 graduates, all seniors at Bath County High. The coalition gave a drug awareness presentation during the event.
Thursday, March 5 - At the regular coalition meeting, approximately 20 coalition members learned that the 4-H Extension agent would be teaching the National Archery in the Schools program during the summer. They also discussed the upcoming skateboarding program for children this summer.

Friday, December 5 - The Bath/Rowan Adult Drug Court held a graduation for 8 participants.
Tuesday, September 9 - An overview about Operation UNITE and the Treatment Voucher program was given to families and business leaders at the Ridgeway Nursing Home in Owingsville. For information contact Jan at 606-674-3012.
2007 Activities
Wednesday, June 20 - Circuit Court Judge Bill Mains held a meeting to discuss the creation of a Drug Court in Bath County in the circuit courtroom at Owingsville.
