UNITE Activities
Meeting chanage: The Bath County UNITE Coalition has moved its regular meeting date to the first Thursday of every month. For time and location see below.
Bath County has a huge focus on the youth, holding special activities on a regular basis.
Bath County has two schools with a registered UNITE Club -- Bath County Middle and Bath County High.
Two Celebrate Recovery support groups meet on a regular basis at the Bath County Courthouse Annex: Small group meetings held Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and large group meetings held Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, June 20 - Circuit Court Judge Bill Mains held a meeting to discuss the creation of a Drug Court in Bath County in the circuit courtroom at Owingsville.
Friday, May 4 - A Drug Endangered Children (DEC) Network training class was held at the Carl Perkins Center in Morehead for coalitions in UNITE’s Gateway service region. The training provided details on how to deal with issues related to children who come from homes where drugs are present.
Monday, April 23 - Former University of Kentucky basketball great Jeff Sheppard presented an anti-drug program at Bath County Middle School.
Thursday, March 22 - Nearly 500 players, coaches, parents and other family members attended the awards banquet at Bath County High on March 22. For story click here. For pictures click here.
2006 Activities
Monday, November 6 - Former UK basketball star Jeff Sheppard presented anti-drug presentations to Salt Lick Elemenetary, Owingsville Elementary, and Bethel Elementary schools.
