Bob Holmes' message is about challenging young people to "beat the odds and win" by fighting off peer pressure and making wise choices for their lives in regards to drugs, alcohol, teen suicide and violence.
Bob shows the kids how one determined man can beat the odds and encourages them to do the same thing through his powerful message. He believes "if we educate students in academics only and do not reach them on the consequences of drugs, alcohol, teen suicide and violence we have failed."
Bob is a "one-man volleyball team." He plays the entire court by himself and has no special rules. Bob has conducted more than 4,000 assemblies in public schools across America.
He will be playing teams put together by Operation UNITE, the Rockcastle County UNITE Coalition, and volunteer players from the middle and high schools. Since 1986, Bob has 14,600 wins and only 297 losses. |
