Description:

Mega Jam is an annual concert filled with fun and ministry to let kids know there is an alternative to drugs, sex and everything else that goes on with teen-agers. Approximately 600 people attended this event.

UNITE Faith-Based Coordinator Joe Farmer will be a guest speaker to share with those attending what the coalition is about and how they can become involved.

Thirty young people dealing with issues such as abuse and drug addiction were introduced to Jesus Christ and accepted Him as Lord and Savior at this year's MegaJam.

Main concert features Skillet and Deep Waters. Skillet is a well-known Christian musical group with 8 number one singles and 11 Dove nominations. Deep Waters is an extremely talented young group of musicians from God's House of Prayer on the Johnson/Lawrence county line. Deep Waters performed at the Johnson County UNITE march and rally in June 2005.

There will be an outside stage for local and regional groups starting at 11 a.m. between the MAC and Microtel. This Mega Jam Pre-Show
is FREE. There will be lots of ministry, along with concessions (all profit goes towards Mega Jam expenses) and a prayer tent available for those
