Event: Celebrating Families!
Date: Tuesday-Thursday, July 17-19, 2007
Time: Tuesday 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Thursday 8:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: Rural law Enforcement Technology Center, 101 Bulldog Lane, Hazard, Kentucky

Sponsor: Drug Endangered Child Training Network and Operation UNITE
Description:

 

Training provided by Prevention Partnership International. Participants will receive a 1,000-page "Celebrating Families!" curriculum to take home.

A light continental breakfast will be available each morning and snacks and cool drinks provided for afternoon breaks. Lunch will be provided as part of learning activities.

Agenda Highlights

Tuesday -- Orientation to the "Celebrating Families!" model; facts about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs and progression of the diesase of chemical dependency; and brain chemistry.

Wednesday -- Chemical dependency and the family; boundaries and relationships; learning differences and FASD; early childhood model; and what group leaders want you to know.

Thursday -- "Celebrating Families!" meal; family activities; small group and multi-family groups.
