A total of 162 people from 30 counties attended the two one-day trainings (112 in London and 50 in Prestonsburg.)
Those attending received information and tools to help steer children away from the harmful effects of drugs.
How to Drug Proof Your Kids (DPYK) is a facilitator led program designed to equip parents with vital parenting and communication tools that help foster discussion and build strong family relationships between parent and child.
Training is provided by Focus on the Family.
Facilitators are then encouraged and equipped to hold DPYK Parent Groups in their communities.
UNITE believes parents are one of the strongest forces against drugs, and are looking for individuals who are motivated to make a difference in the lives of children in their community by becoming facilitators.
All training materials and a leaders guide will be provided without charge to residents of the Fifth Congressional District. |
