During the evening the coalition will elect upcoming board members and officers, express appreciation to the churches and businesses of the community for their support, and recognize Rockcastle County's school UNITE Clubs -- Roundstone, Brodhead and Mt. Vernon Elementaries, Rockcastle County Middle, and Rockcastle County High.
Following the dinner, keynote speakers will include Brodhead Elementary student Avery Bradshaw and the Rev. Maury Davis. Avery will share his challenge to his fifth-grade class. Rev. Davis will share his inspirational testimony about drug abuse and crime.
Following his arrest and conviction for first-degree murder, Rev. Davis was "saved in a prison cell" in the Texas Department of Corrections. Your heart will be deeply touched as you hear how this humble servant went from a life of drug abuse to preaching God's Word. This Nashville-based pastor is a frequent guest with Dr. James Dobson and Focus on the Family.
All those who attend will learn how they can be involved in the fight against substance abuse.
